Flight Tips for Kaua΄i

When searching for a flight to Lihue (LIH) airport on Kauai, I suggest you search for your location to Honolulu (HNL) instead.  When buying a ticket on one airline to LIH the rate is higher than just purchasing a flight to HNL and then buying a separate ticket on an interisland airline such as Hawaiian Airlines or Alaska Airlines. 

 

When checking in, be sure to give them both tickets so you do not have to transfer your luggage at Honolulu airport to your next flight.

 

There are some airlines that do a non-stop to Kauai from San Francisco, Oakland and Los Angeles.  This is often less expensive.  Another great thing to keep in mind is a non-stop flight from Houston to Lihue on Continental.

 

Alaska Airlines is now Servicing Hawaii year round with non-stop to Kauai.

Delta is now Servicing Hawaii year round with non-stop to Kauai
