In The Spotlight - How to Create a Spotlight Effect in PowerPoint
In PowerPoint, you can
simulate the appearance of a spotlight shining on your Clip Art by drawing a
circle and setting it to semitransparent. For this to work, the scene must be
flat.
1.
Insert your Clip
Art
2.
Use the Oval tool from the
PowerPoint Draw menu to draw a circle
3.
To draw a perfect circle, hold down
Shift while you use the mouse to make the circle.
4.
Now size the circle and move it over
the Clip Art
5.
Make sure that it's over a flat
scene--for example, on one wall of a building.
6.
With the circle selected, click on
the arrow to the right of the Fill button (the Fill button shows a bucket of
paint)
7.
When the list expands, select
white
8.
Right-click on the circle now, and
choose Format AutoShape
9.
When the dialog box opens, select
the check box labeled Semitransparent and click on OK.
