FIRST STEP: Test to see if you can connect to me. Some can't, so we want to see before you call me when charges will occur. Testing is FREE so it's best to see if your machine is compatible with this tool before you call me through Ingenio. (If you feel this looks too complicated call me on Ingenio and we will do it while online in less than 3 minutes)

Verify that I am online at the time you want to test. If the icon above states "Talk to me now", then I am currently online and you may proceed with the second step below. If not, it will be set at "Arrange a Call". This permits you to make a reservation with me at a time convenient to you. Type a note in the request that you want to test remote connectivity so I can send you the IP address you will need (THIRD STEP) and accept your reservation request to connect for testing. | |

If I am available send me an email through Kauai Dawn's Microsoft Office Support (Send Mail is Top Right) and I will send you the IP you will need in the THIRD STEP. |

SECOND STEP:
From your computer main screen: Select Start and then Run
Type: conf in the box
Select OK
A description box will popup: Select Next
Do not change anything except what is noted below as we will not be using the sound features, etc. Just do the following:
Type in your First, Last, and your E-mail address (leave everything else blank
I f you would like to be anonymous then make up anything for your name and make the email anonymous@anonymous.com
Select Next 2 Times (Do not change any options)
Select your Connection Type (Cable/DSL, etc.)
Select Next, Next, Next, etc. - ignoring all options - and then click Finish

THIRD STEP:
A box will pop up (in a few seconds) like this:

Once this box is up you are Online and ready to
call me (Your Ingenio Advisor)
Once you have it you will:
TO CALL ME AFTER YOU TEST JUST PRESS THE BUTTON ABOVE "Call me Now" and Ingenio will connect me to you through your account. |
