Saturday 3/26/05 - Tuesday 3/29/05

Today I went into town to the bookstore.  Fran had recommended I get The Hidden Messages in Water by Masaru Emoto.  That evening I read about it in the newspaper and then someone at the bookstore said the group was here on Kauai recently.  I also read he is doing seminars for Amway for a friend of his in the business.  The rest of my chores were to pick up mail, do some grocery shopping, and I also went to the nursery there and looked at the plants.

Sunday I went to a Luau in Kekaha (Almost the farthest south you can go).  The host and hostess were Isabelle and Buddy from the jewelry store in front of the Hanapepe hotel.  I'm sure I've mentioned them before.  They are the nicest couple and I've really enjoyed getting to know them.  Their house is across the street from the beach.  It was a great evening.  We had roast pig (Kalua Pig), with side dishes brought by each guest.  All of the chairs and tables were set up on the beach with tiki torches lighting the area and and the pit close by.  I really enjoyed meeting everyone.  A couple who own the Talk Story Book Shop that I walk by all the time were there and I enjoyed talking with them about their place, the yoga classes they have, etc.  I also met a contractor who has been here many years, a woman who just moved here from Oahu who is fixing up an old house, a man from New York who is doing the work on her house, etc.  The music, the waves, the food and  sunset were just fantastic.  Click for Pictures of the Luau.
