Friday 7/29/05 - Monday 8/1/05

I will be taking photos today for the Kawaihau Sports Villas (my condo) to put on their website.  Come back to this page as I will put a link to the site HERE when it is complete.  I'm excited about this as I think I do pretty good pictures and think I can do it justice.

Yesterday was my first Solo day driving the Movie Tours bus.  I had a problem finding people at two of the hotels as they have two entrances but finally it was straightened out.  I went to 7 locations to pickup (and drop off at the end of the day).  The mix-up made the tour late but it didn't stop us from have the BEST TIME!  Everyone we had were just the best.  There was a couple celebrating their 25th anniversary who wanted to go to the chapel at the Coco Palms (we don't always walk that part, but are authorized, so Agatha took them there) where they had gotten married.  There were just all kinds of interesting people on the tour yesterday.  It started out raining in the morning and then turned into the perfect weather for the excursion.  The trip lasts 6 hours and is so full of great things.  I really like going with Agatha as she always tells such diverse information and I really learn a lot.  The tour guides (narrators) are very informative and I really enjoy driving with all of them but so far I've gone with Agatha the most.  I learned a new tree yesterday from Agatha called the Octopus Tree.  I looked it up and found this:

Deep, dense and destructive, the Schefflera actinophylla ("octopus") tree is invading this 1,000-acre nature preserve on northwest Kauai. Able to grow even on boulders, the population has exploded from five before the 1982 hurricane to an uncountable number today.

The day was very tiring and is exactly what I was looking for as a weekend job.  After I get back I wash the bus and it is a perfect end to the day.  Also, I figured out I didn't need to go to the gym at the end of that day so I had a nice drink on my Lanai as a treat.  LOL.  The tips were fantastic.  I'd been told what the tips usually are and was pleasantly surprised to receive way over that.  I think we make a great team.

Todd came back today so I'll have my extra closet back for my stuff (I stored his stuff because he is changing digs again).  He went to Oahu and the Big Island for two weeks, on a job, and will be by today.  It will be interesting to see what he has been up to with the realty stuff.

Well, that's all the news for now.  Aloha!
