DSC01262.JPG (27205 bytes) I went to Hanapepe today to take a picture of Hal's special order board today for him.  They are going to put it on display until he gets here to pick it up.  He was pretty "stoked" to get the picture.  Hal's new board - I guess he calls it a "fish" (not kneeboard).  It was very nice but then again I totally have no idea about that stuff.  I really had a great time as I stopped and chatted with the gallery owners for a couple of hours.  It was nice to see everyone and hear the typical artist gossip and some Payton Place type stuff.  Buddy made me coffee and we had a nice chat.
DSC01265.JPG (34771 bytes) I stopped on the way back to go to get my mail in Lihue.  I saw a tree off the road by the nursery so I stopped and took a couple of pictures so I thought I'd share ...
DSC01266.JPG (54039 bytes) These are two plumeria trees.  You can see how large they are compared to the guardrail in the rear.  Although these are not the largest I have seen they had the widest trunks I've seen.
DSC01267.JPG (41659 bytes) This is the bloom up close
DSC01268.JPG (19864 bytes) This is a corner at the main crossing by the college.  I see this guy adding trees all the time.  They are usually quite bare as they are probably selling them to the lei makers or there is one in the family.
DSC01269.JPG (39149 bytes) This is on Rice street going toward where the cruise ships come in.
