Friday 5/20/05 - Sunday 5/22/05

The move went great.  It took about 3 specific trips to move from Hanapepe.  The first was to move my desk only.  It is 3 pieces and filled the van.  The second trip that evening was almost all of the rest and then Saturday morning I took one more load.  I had cleaned the place in Hanapepe Friday night so all I did was throw the sheets in the washer when I left and my neighbor Liz folded them and put them in the cottage for me.   The bed was delivered at 10am and then I went and got the table and chairs I had bought when they left.  So, all is going well.

The shipping of the storage unit went on Friday.  Thanks for managing that Fran!  I should get that in the next 3-5 weeks. 

The neighbor above me is Gayle.  She works at Wal-Mart, has a little shiatsu dog that is very sweet, and has been very nice.  She brought me candles for my new table on the lanai. 

I went to the beach this morning.  I found a beach access path behind some condo.  It was a great little half moon bay.  It had trees to sit under and there were maybe 8 people there.  The beach is a shallow reef with a very active tide.  From the sand to the reef is a little shallow area that I just dipped in to cool off and then I laid under a tree and took a nap.  I needed that.  The move was a pretty easy but I was a little stressed.  This beach is not a place I would go to for swimming necessarily but a great place to take a picnic.

I went to the pool here this evening and as I expected I was the only one there.  The water was warm but still refreshing.  It was nice to swim around while the sun went down.

So, pictures!  Most are of my new place, but also my new bed, my new TV, and my van.  I've decided to name my van.  It's name is EV (Pron. Evy).  Can you think of what that stands for?  I'm sure you can but we'll see what everyone comes up with.
